Here's another one of my quest to repost some of those I've posted in SneezeNiz.
TAGAYTAY -- Like I've said before, Tagaytay's one of my favorite weekend escape. I could only tell you so much about the place through stories about where I've been. And one of the spot we'd usually visit is Sonya's Garden. As the name suggest, the garden feel brings me closer to home. I love the smell of flowers and fresh air. It makes me miss our "humble" garden back home. I wish I could bring the Tagaytay weather home too. It'll be perfect for our little place. But besides the ambiance, Sonya's Garden also means a detox lunch.

I'm not sure if it's coincidence, or it's already been an unknown habit. I usually eat in odd hours, but the place isn't really this empty, there are actually some people at one point, then I just clicked when I had the chance.

Salad was served as starters. Honestly, I wasn't all that into salads, until I came to visit Sonya's years ago. Basically, this is where my baptism to eating healthy started. So, I had mine like I hadn't eaten one in a long time!

Their baked bread was still hot, which meant that it was straight out of the oven and it's up next with a variety of speads to choose from. I love smelling newly baked bread, their aroma is just making me hungry. So whenever I pass by a bakery, I'd usually end up buying a bag full. You can enjoy the bread with their freshly squeezed dalandan juice. The thing about Sonya's is that the food they serve is actually grown in their very garden.

I'm waiting for the next thing that they're going to serve...Pasta! A choice of white and red sauce and a variety of toppings came in with the fetucinni. And as though they knew how full you've been, they served their homegrown tea to help digest all the food you've stuffed in.

It wouldn't be complete without desserts! Sweet and simple toron, sweet potato and chocolate cake.

After that full meal, you wouldn't complain of hunger ever again. All that food could last you a day without eating...make it two!
