iLove: Parking scene

Posted By sneezeniz on Oct 26, 2009 at 6:40PM

I'll just have to reiterate: my daughter is not afraid to make fun of herself. She may seem all girly but she's a certified goofball. While my brothers are mega-supportive to my 9-year old crazy ideas.

Jerard: Goofy? Hell yeah, we know how to do goofy.

Jason: Come on, let's bring the word goofy to the next level!

Kiara: Hmm...I like that!

And this is what they came up with:

Janiz:Hmm...not quite but I could give it a thought.

So Kiara did stunts and fight scenes with my brother instead.

Hmm...that you be a lame excuse for a fight scene don't you think?

Jerard: Lame? Who do you call lame? How about this for lame!

(Gave punch that could throw you a few meters away like a action hero.)

Jerard:What do you think about that?

Janiz: I'd probably have to say "cool", not awesome, just "cool."

Now, my daughter transforms into a gangsta. And manages to rap and do what hiphop's do.

Before heading home, she pees in public.

Kiara: Peace brotha!

iBinge: Craving for Puff Mommy

Posted By sneezeniz on Oct 17, 2009 at 10:06AM

I've come to know of Puff Mommy years before and I've been hooked to it ever since. I've tried other cream puffs but nothing comes close to Puff Mommy. So every weekend, I'd find myself bringing home a box of this addicting cream puffs.

After one full meal I'm always looking for something sweet and one or two of this cream puffs could make my day.

iBinge: Grams Diner

Posted By sneezeniz on Oct 17, 2009 at 9:03AM

We supposedly opted for a different restaurant but it was full and we hate to be wait listed since we were all too hungry. So we went to our all time favorite Grams Diner.

My brothers said they were a little full, but I'm guessing they're on a diet...yes?

Oh, I think I need to include the word diet on my vocabulary. I'm the one who actually needs it more than my brothers.

Jason: Ach, you're already a mother for crying out loud!

Janiz: I don't want to be a big cliche you know.

Jerard: Ach, at least you have a reason to look "lusyang"

Janiz: Hell no! I will not be called by that word in my lifetime! So you better or I'll sue you!

Jerard: Fine, fine. Curious question, how much do you weigh now?

Janiz: Oh, don't start with me brother. You're looking for war!

Jerard: Just asking. (hands up) I am now about to eat my fish and fries.

I love my daughter's expression at the sight of her food -- priceless. She learned to be quiet for a couple of minutes while her mouth was stuffed with food. And thereafter, she went back to her hyped up self except that it had an quite energy boost.

Kiara: Mom, can I have ice cream?

Janiz: Sure. What are you having?

Kiara: Vanilla.

Janiz: Again?

Kiara: It's my favorite flavor.

Janiz: You're so predictable.

Kiara: Is that a good or a bad thing?

Janiz: Oh no.

Kiara: What?

Janiz: That question is a prelude to more questions. I can see it coming.

Kiara: *grin* Ok, let's have this conversation some other time. Mom look, I like this spoon.

Janiz: I know.

Kiara: You do? How did you know?

Janiz: Did you forget? You're predictable.

Kiara: LOL

iLove: One of those Saturdays

Posted By sneezeniz on Oct 17, 2009 at 8:34AM

Saturdays are usually spent with family. Kiara and I go to mass while my brothers "try" to be there too.

Kiara: Where's Ahia and Dihia?

Janiz: Around there somewhere.

Kiara: Aren't they going to hear mass?

Janiz: Baby, the perfect question is, do they ever go to mass?

Kiara: Oh.

When the mass ended, Kiara was more than happy to see them. That's why she transformed into a goofball all of a sudden.

*sigh* What would I do if you grow up Kiar? I will have a mental breakdown. Or...I should start making my own time travelling machine so I can go back to whatever part of the past I want. *sigh* I love how my daughter isn't afraid to make fun of herself -- maybe not to everybody though.

Even my brothers levels up to my daughter's wackiness. Kiara, you're so contagious!

iLove: Killing time at Greenbelt

Posted By sneezeniz on Oct 17, 2009 at 8:07AM

What I love about our place here in Makati is that we live close to everything, especially a few blocks from Ayala Center. So when we're bored and just want to get out, Glorietta and Greenbelt will be the first in our list.

Kiara still didn't loose the game she was playing with. While walking she's still absorbed with the game, not even the camera can stop her -- that has to be something new. But when we came to the pond, she was checking out the fishes -- the only animal she'd probably take as a pet.

My brother wasn't in his "kulit" mode when we entered the mall. My brother is one mega shopper, he shops more frequently than I would, and even spends more than I do! What is happening to the world?? When we were in Greyone Social he called me in to consult like he always does.

Jason: Out of all the Supra shoes, which one would you want for me?

Janiz: I'd go for that. (pointing to this high cut shoes)

Jason: Me too.

Janiz: Is that a black or gray?

Jason: I'm not sure but I'd go for your choice too.

Janiz: But the thing is, you have similar shoes like that, don't you want to try the ones with the different color?

Jason: No, I don't have shoes like this.

Janiz: Yes you do, what about those you brought from Theodore's? Those were almost identical as that.

Jason: Well, sort of but not quite.

Janiz: OMG! I never thought it would apply to men too!

Jason: What?? Tell me now or I'll shoot you!

Janiz: They say, "Girls could never have too many shoes."

Jason: *grin* Welcome to the 21st century sister.

While my brother out-shops me, let me just go to the supermarket to spend the last money I have.

iBinge: Hanging out at Pancake House

Posted By sneezeniz on Oct 16, 2009 at 4:38PM

The day after volunteering, we just need to do groceries, pay bills and all others. But before that, where to eat? Let's give Pancake house a shot. Although we don't really order pancakes there.

While I was a little exhausted, Kiara on the other hand was in the mood to play around.

I have to be thankful to the iPhone applications that keeps Kiara busy and divert all her playful energy to that little thing and whatever she's playing right there.

It's one of those days when I just wanted to lounge around, and give my lazy ass the time of their life.

My brother too had lost every single energy he had the day before. He can't even make up his mind what he wants to eat!

And again, iPhone app to the rescue! My brother was all up and about when Kiara gave him a challenge he just can't resist. So it's "kulitan" time!

Now our tummies are happy and we're all full of energy.

iBinge: Burp-fest at Sicilian Express

Posted By sneezeniz on Oct 13, 2009 at 11:58PM

We never thought that volunteering can actually make our stomachs growl. When the clock strike 8, the "bulate" in our tummy were having a revolution! "We want food!" Immediate action is needed, we should make a food killing somewhere near. So Sicilian Express in McKinley Hill was conveniently within the area.

Kiara and I seemed to have lost the last energy we had, we were quiet all along while waiting for our food. Jason and Ri on the other hand was hyped up like crazy.

This was actually my brother's treat for his upcoming birthday. How exactly do you greet a friend on his birthday? Let Ri demonstrate it:

Waaaapaaak! Happy Birthday Jason!

iLove: Volunteering at White Space

Posted By sneezeniz on Oct 13, 2009 at 11:28PM

After Ondoy left the Philippines with Manila and Northern Luzon as such a disaster, private individuals have organized relief centers left and right to deploy goods to affected areas. Some relief centers were overmanned, some were a little chaotic while White Space for us was the perfect relief center since I would be bringing Kiara along and it's close our place.

I praise the organizers since everything is well organized. I find it eally inspiring that private individuals have been making extra effort to help out the victims of the typhoon.

We found it fun since we get to meet a lot of people and we get to carry those heavy boxes...boys and girls alike!

Kiara has been begging that we go help out too, but I told her we have to make sure what we have to expect. So when my brother gave us a go, we were already so ready!

I've seen TV personalities but it's the little girls the little kids that were helping out that made me go "awww". And of course my little girl was all out, I could see sweat forming but she never complained a single minute. I told you my daughter is really domesticated!

There are numerous relief centers so I wasn't expecting to see anyone I know -- especially not someone I know from Iloilo. But Honeylette was there! Iloilo represent!

While my brother had the most friends both from CSB and CEU.

And funny how you'd discover a lot of things while repacking. This is what we found:

Overall it was exhausting, but very fulfilling.

iQuote: Happiness, as defined by a five year old

Posted By sneezeniz on Oct 8, 2009 at 12:00PM

When I was five years old, my mom always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up. I wrote down, ‘Happy.’ They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, I told them they didn’t understand life. ”
