I am clearly backlogged, we attended a wedding on May. Actually we weren't prepared at all, so when someone said go we scanned our closets for a possible wedding get-up. Kiara wanted to wear white to beat the heat.

"Maybe happiness didn't have to be about the big, sweeping circumstances, about having everything in your life in place. Maybe it was about stringing together a bunch of small pleasures. Wearing slippers and watching the Miss Universe contest. Eating a brownie with vanilla ice cream. Getting to level seven in Dragon Master and knowing there were twenty more levels to go.
Maybe happiness was just a matter of the little upticks- the traffic signal that said "Walk" the second you go there- and downticks- the itch tag at the back of your collar- that happened to every person in the course of the day. Maybe everybody had the same allotted measure of happiness within each day.

Maybe it didn't matter if you were a world-famous heartthrob or a painful geek. Maybe it didn't matter if your friend was possibly dying.
Maybe you just got through it. Maybe that was all you could ask for."

Now that we're back in Manila for good. Some old habits are slowly coming back too. Like my daughter's fascination for books. If you still don't know about it, she could finish a book from cover to cover in less than an hour. So we've basically amassed a number of books over the years. But my daughter would reason: "A book is a gift that you can open again and again."

We love Fully Booked because you get to read some of the books out of the shelves. So some of those that my daughter could finish is less than an hour, I'd ask her to read it right out like it was some kind of library.
"A bookstore is one of the pieces of evidence that we have people that are still thinking."

Forgive my photos since it was just taken by my humble iPhone.
BACOLOD - The thing about me is I love love love organic oils and soaps. And I was almost jumping for joy when I discovered Fresh Start Organic Personal Care in Bacolod since I'm running out of organic soap and I'd be waiting to get back to Manila to get one.

I wasn't really expecting to find one in Bacolod so I basically hoarded their oils and soaps since it was really affordable. I slept well that night to the calming scent of Lavender.
